Everest Base Camp Trek is the one and only trekking destination on the planet that fulfills every quench of thirst for real adventure, nature, and culture lovers. Enroute to Base Camp, there is a lot to see as it offers amazing landscapes with vibrant cultural attractions.
This thrilling trek leads you to EBC, as near as possible to view Mount Everest and other of the highest mountains vistas. It’s like heaven on earth. Also, it includes one of the best viewpoints on earth, Kala Pathar, where you will have a perfect and jaw-dropping view of the highest point of earth. You will experience other majestic panoramic mountain views and below views to the Khumbu Glacier and scenic Alpine valleys.
Among the highlights to see are Mount Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Pumori, Thamserku, Kangde, Makalu, Baruntse and many more. Its beauty is supplemented by the local Sherpa culture, monasteries and flawless view of Ama Dablam from Tengbouche Monastery.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m.)
Once you exit from arrival gate, one of our company representative will be waiting with a name placard to welcome you. You will be greeted and welcomed with a flower garland, which is our custom to welcome guests in Nepal. We will provide transport to the hotel where you can settle in. We will have a briefing on the trek to provide additional details and answer any last minute questions. Overnight at Hotel. B.B. Plan.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2840m.) and Trek to Phakding (2610m) 3-4 hours walk
Our first day in the mountain. After the 30 minute scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, you will start walking. You will arrive to your destination after 3-4 hours of easy hiking from Lukla. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 03: Phakding - Namche Bazar (3440m.) 5-6 hours walk
Waking up in the mountains, an exciting day starts with your delicious and hot mountain breakfast in Phakding. We will then begin our hike up to Namche where you will traverse several scenic points such as: Splended Rhododendron forests, thrilling suspension bridge, Dudh Koshi, Bhote Koshi and many more. Upon arrival to your destination, you will be warmly welcomed by the beautiful settlement in the lap of the Himalayas. Namche Bazar is literally known as the Gateway of Everest and the administrative hub of the Khumbu region. We shall overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 04: Acclimatization Day. 4-5 hours walk
As an acclimatization day, we will stroll around the Namche Bazar. Also, will have an easy day hike to Everest View hotel to see the Mt. Everest for the first time and discover other eye-catching mountain views. Another purpose of this hike is to adjust your body in high elevation as a preventive measure to stay away from the altitude sickness. Today’s other highlights are to explore Sherpa culture and visit Khude and Kumjung Village. We will return back to Namche Bazar in the afternoon. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 05: Namche - Tengboche (3860m.) 4-5 hours walk
After breakfast, your day starts with ascending to your next destination. You will walk along the Dudh Koshi River and fascinating forest of Rhododendron, our national flower. We may even encounter multi color pheasnats, musk deer, Himalayan Thar and more. Upon arrival for the day, you will have an opportunity to see one of the largest monasteries in the Khumbu Region, Tengboche Monastery. If you are lucky, you can experience a ceremony. We must also mention this day offers the legendary peak views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan
Day 06: Tengboche - Dingboche (4410m.) 5-6 hours
Another adventurous day starts after your breakfast at the hotel. You need to walk around 5-6 hours for our next destination. This day also offers a variety of sceneries enroute to Dingboche. On the way we will walk through the Pangbouche village, the biggest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu region. It is here that we can even we can visit ancient monastery here. Then continue walking up to Dingboche. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 07: Hike to Chhukung Ri (5550m.) for panoramic view and return back to Dingboche. 7-8 hours walk
Another acclimatization day. To utilize the day, we will have a day hike to Chhuking Ri to explore and see the remarkable view of the mountains. A fun and enjoyable day where you will have time for relaxation, exploration, and making new friends. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 08: Dingboche - Labuche (4910m.) 5-6 hours walk
After breakfast, we start to hike for Labuche. As an adventurous day, will steep climb up passing by chorten and many more beautiful sceneries. Stupendous mountain views can’t be ignored as we finally reach Lobuche. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 09: Labuche - Gorakshep (5140m.) with visit to Everest Base Camp (EBC 5364m.) 7-8 hours walk
This is a very important day for trekkers as we are going to see Everest Base Camp. We will be walking towards Gorakashep from Labuche where we will have lunch. From here, we will continue on towards Everest Base Camp making it a really adventurous and exciting day. You will walk in view of Everest and alongside glaciers. Your highlights of today are magnificent views of Everest including other grandiose mountains vistas, delightful glaciers and plenty more. After having a wonderful day, we will head back to Gorakeshep for dinner and rest. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 10: Early Morning hike to Kalapathar (5545m.) for sunrise view and panoramic view of Everest Himalayan range then trek down to Pheriche (4240m.) 7-8 hours walk
Another important and awaited day for trekkers. Early morning, we will set out to Kalapathar-Black Rock, one of the most amazing view points of the Himalayan region. We will witness a stunning sunrise over Mt. Everest and spectacular views of other great mountains. After spending some quality and unforgettable time at Kalapathar, we will hike down to Gorakshep and continue further down to Pheriche. Overnight at Guest House. Full Board Plan.
Day 11: Pheriche to Namche (3440m.) 6-7 hours walk
After breakfast, we start our journey to Namche, which takes approximately 6-7 hours from Pheriche. You will have ups and down during the walking and remember to take some time to take in the natural beauty you find yourself in. We will arrive to Namche Bazar for our evening meal and stay. Day 12: Namche- Lukla (2840m.) 6-7 hours walk
It’s time to say farewell to Namche, the most beautiful Himalayan town in Khumbu Region. We will have similar trail like the previous day. We will be walking through forests with ups and down trekking trail, crossing suspension bridge and pass along significant monuments and impressive Sherpa villages. We arrive back to Lukla today. Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu (1350m.)
We can say bye to the mountain for the time being. We wake up with breakfast and head to the airport in Lukla where we will board our flight. After 30 minutes of flying through the mountains, we will land back in Kathmandu. You will drive to Hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B. Plan.
Day 14: Leisure day
This is a leisure day. In case of flight cancellation from Lukla to Kathmandu due to weather, we encourage an additional day to plan into your itinerary. Itineraries can shift and weather delays can affect schedules. If not used, you will be able to take this day for any purpose or request. Want to explore the many beautiful sites within Kathmandu? Day 15: Departure.
We will provide you with transfer to the airport for your return trip back home or wherever your next destination may be. We look forward to seeing you next time in Nepal for another adventure trip. Have a safe and pleasant flight back to your home. Farewell!!!!
