Mustang formerly known as Kingdom of Lo, is one of the most remote districts of Nepal. Divided into Lower and Upper Regions. The Upper Mustang has only been opened to trekkers since 1992 making it one of the most preserved regions in the world. You will be surrounded by its old Buddhist kingdom and completely submerged in the Tibetan culture.
The Mystic land offers absolute and incredible valley, landscapes, sceneries and many more. It is also recognized as the perfect location for Yoga and Meditation. We can see countless natural and man-made caves on the centuries-old cliffs.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you are warmly greeted by our Airport Representative and transport to the hotel where you will have a briefing about your program. For the rest of the day, you will have free time to rest and relax, there is no activity for today. Overnight at hotel inclusive of bed and breakfast.
Day 02: Trekking Preparation Day:
You do not have any fixed program and will have a free day. It’s a trekking preparation day before you embark on your trip. You will need to provide us your passport as we will be issuing your special permit. If you would like to utilize the day or interested for city tour, we would be pleased to operate Kathmandu city tour on your request with extra cost. Otherwise, you will have free day in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel inclusive of bed and breakfast.
Day 03: Kathmandu-Pokhara. (Approx: 200 km) 6-7 hours drive.
After breakfast, at 6:30 AM we will go to the Tourist Bus park to catch our bus for Pokhara that departs at 7 AM. This journey includes wonderful sceneries of green hills, captivating landscapes and thrilling rafting at Trishuli River. The bus will offer a lunch break and will reach Pokhara between 2-3 PM. Overnight at hotel inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 04: Pokhara-Jomsom by flight and trek to Kagbeni. 3 hours walking
After an early breakfast we will be going to the airport to take our 30-minute flight to Jomsom. Due to unpredictable weather, this airport operates in the early hours of the morning. Jomsom Aiport, is also known as the headquarters of Mustang district. Once we land, we will get our gear and backpack ready to start our 3 hours trek along the edge of Kaligandaki river. Our final destination for the day is Kagbeni, also known as the gateway of Upper Mustang Region. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 05: Kagbeni-Chele. 6-7 hours walking
Breakfast at 7 AM. After leaving our guest house we check in our special permit in ACAP office, which would be our official entrance of restricted area of Mustang Region. Then we proceed further ahead to our destination. We walk along the bank of Kaligandaki river up to our destination. You will have the opportunity to view amazing cliffs, caves and pass through wonderful settlements called Tangbe and Chusang. After trekking for 6-7 hours, we will arrive at our destination of Chele. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 06: Chele-Syangbochen. 6-7 hours walking.
Our journey starts at 7:30 am after having breakfast like the previous mornings. Walking uphill and downhill, crossing various rivers with an absolute view of amazing landscapes, valley and enchanting, colorful cliffs on our way to our overnight stay in Syanbouche. We will encounter Samar, Vena before we reach to Syanbouche. Approximately 6 hours walking from your starting point. Overnight at Guesthouse inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 07: Syanbochen-Ghemi. 5-6 hours walking
We will wake up early in the morning and be ready for breakfast. At 7:30 AM we will depart and start our trek to Ghemi. Today, we will cross many tiny hills with magnificent landscapes view. Every valley and landscapes are exotic and remarkable. After trekking 5-6 hours from Syanbouchen we will arrive at our overnight destination of Ghemi. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 08: Ghemi-Tsarang. 4-5 hours walking
Early breakfast and 7:30 AM departure. Ghemi to Tsarang will be not a long way trek. You will have an easy and relax day walking through the motorway and the monasteries are the highlights of this which we can’t ignore. Approximately 4-5 of trekking we will arrive at Tsarng, one of the wonderful settlements, which would be worth visiting and exploring. Overnight at Guesthouse inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 09: Tsarang- Lo-Mangthang. 5-6 hours walking
After breakfast, as usual, we will move further ahead to Lo-Manthang. We will encounter breathtaking sceneries and man-made caves on cliffs. After 5-6 hours gentle trekking we will arrive at our destination. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 10: Day Hike to Chosar Valley and return back to Lo-Manangthang.
Today you will visit a Buddhist monastery and explore the village of Lo-Manangthan. After breakfast, you will embark to Chosar valley from Lo-Manangthang which takes 2-3 hours. In Chosar, you will have an opportunity to explore Zhong Cave and an incredible monastery. We will return to Lo-Manangthang for Lunch. After lunch, you will visit another monastery and immerse yourself in the Tibetan Buddhism culture. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 11: Lo-Mangthang- Dhakmar via Lo-Gyakar Monastery. 6-7 hours walking
Breakfast and 7 AM departure as we turn back and trek to Dharkmar. En route, we will visit Ghar Ghumba or Lo-Gyakar Monastery. We will arrive at our overnight Guest House, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 12: Dhakmar-Syangbochen. 6-7 hours walking
After breakfast, we will continue our return and arrive to Syanbouchen after 6-7 hours of trekking. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 13: Syanbochen-Chusang. 6-7 hours walking.
After breakfast, we will continue to move down to our destination. After our 6 hours trek from Syanbouchen we will arrive to our destination, Chusang. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 14: Chusang-Jomsom. 6-7 hours walking
Early breakfast and departure shortly after. We will continue our trek back through the motor road along the bank of Kaligandaki river. Overnight at Guest House inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 15: Jomsom-Pokhara.
After breakfast, we will get ready to fly back to Pokhara. Once we land you will have plenty of resting time. Overnight at hotel inclusive of bed and breakfast.
Day 16: Pokhara-Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will go to the Tourist Bus Park and catch our bus back to Kathmandu. This journey is around 6-7 hours. Overnight at Hotel inclusive of bed and breakfast.
Day 17: Departure
We will transport you to Kathmandu Airport for your journey back home.
