It is recommended to bring your own gear, however, often times travelers decide to buy or rent/hire gear in Kathmandu. There are several stores to buy trekking gear in the tourist center of Thamel (Kathmandu). Also, there are several opportunities to rent/hire gear as well. If you have questions about costs to rent specific equipment, please ask. Also, if your tour is on limited time, it is strongly encouraged that you plan with us in advance for equipment rentals. If you wish, we can secure your equipment in advance to save on searching after arrival.
